The electric vehicle (EV) revolution is no longer coming-it’s here. Across Vietnam and Southeast Asia, EV adoption is accelerating at an unprecedented pace. But for auto parts distributors and repair shops, this shift brings a new challenge: how do you source the right EV parts reliably and affordably? At JLL Auto Parts, we’ve spent years […]

The Auto Parts Market Nobody Talks About: Where the Real Demand Actually Is

Last year I had a conversation with a dealer in Dubai who’d been importing European brand parts for fifteen years. His biggest supplier suddenly couldn’t deliver for twelve weeks. He called me on a Thursday, desperate, asking if I could help. Within three weeks, we had his entire order spec’d and shipped from China. He

What Nobody Tells You About Packaging Auto Parts for Export (Lessons from Real Shipments)

I still remember my first container shipment to the Netherlands. Everything looked perfect in the warehouse — parts were clean, quantities matched, documentation was ready. Three weeks later I got an angry call from my customer. Half the brake calipers arrived with rust spots.

Why European Car Dealers Are Quietly Starting to Source EV Parts from China

Audi dealerships in Germany. Volkswagen service centers in the Netherlands. BMW independent shops in the UK. What do they have in common? Over the past 18 months, an increasing number are quietly adding “sourced from China” to their parts procurement options — and not just for budget customers. I’ve spent the last three months talking

5 Signs Your EV’s Battery Pack Is Trying to Tell You Something (Don’t Ignore These)

I’ll admit it — I used to treat my EV’s battery like my old Honda Civic’s 12V battery. Just drive it and charge it and assume everything was fine. But after 3 years and 85,000 km with electric vehicles, I’ve learned that batteries communicate — if you know what to listen for. Last month, a

Why Your Home EV Charging Pile Keeps Tripping the Breaker (And What Actually Helps)

So there I was, 11:47 PM, plug-in my BYD Seal after a 380 km drive home from visiting friends. Green light, charging started, everything looked normal. At 2:15 AM I woke up to find the car hadn’t charged at all — the charger had tripped the breaker sometime around midnight. This happened three times in
